Charlotte Remarkable Winner Announced: Donna Reed with Home4Me

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – All month long we’ve shared their stories and recently Queen City News gathered at Truist Field to honor and celebrate the four finalists and announce the local winner of our Remarkable Women campaign.

To refresh your memory our finalists were:

Andrea King, founder of Esther’s Heart for Transformation Ministry, empowers the community while eliminating the distraction of hunger to some of the most challenged and underprivileged families.

Donna Reed, founder of Home4Me, a nonprofit organization dedicated to being a voice for teens in foster care providing hope, opportunities, mentoring, and education, helping those aging out of foster care go to college.

Christine Cronin, the founder of Wings of Eagles Ranch, provides therapeutic horseback riding lessons for children and adults with special needs, giving families an accepting, loving and fun environment to thrive.

Tamesha Hughes Frazier, founder of Hughes Elite Scholars, provides various opportunities and support for high school students who have the desire, motivation, and potential to fulfill their college dreams.

And the winner is…

Donna Reed! Donna was awarded with a $1,000 donation to her nonprofit, Home4Me. Congratulations to Donna, the local Charlotte Remarkable Woman of the Year!
