Charlie Sheen has denied claims he raped Corey Haim when the late child star was aged 13.

The Two and a Half Men actor was alleged to have sexually assaulted Haim while they were filming 1986 teen comedy Lucas.

"Charlie Sheen categorically denies these allegations," his spokesman told The Hollywood Reporter.

Actor Dominick Brascia said his close friend Haim told him "he had sex with Sheen" during production of the film. Sheen was aged 19 at the time.

Haim died of pneumonia aged 38 in 2010 after a long battle with drug addiction. He had spoken of being sexually abused as a teenage Hollywood star.

Fellow former child star Corey Feldman claimed in his memoir Coreyography that Haim had been abused on the set of Lucas.

He wrote: "At some point during the filming... an adult male convinced him it was perfectly normal for older men and younger boys in the business to have sexual relations, that it was ‘what all guys do.’”

The Lost Boys star Feldman has long alleged he was abused by a Hollywood paedophile ring in his youth.

Los Angeles Police Department this week confirmed it had launched an investigation after he reported allegations during an appearance on The Dr Oz Show last week.
