When it happens near a Walmart or a school the media blames the store or the school or the gun. Somehow, football, the stadium and the neighborhood aren't to blame this time.
Surveillance footage shows people running for their lives after gunfire erupted in New Orleans' French Quarter in a shooting that left 10 injured.
Gunshots rang out on Canal Street just before 3.30am Sunday, sparking chaos in the neighborhood known for its nightlife where hundreds had gathered to watch the Bayou Classic rivalry football game hours earlier.
Ten victims were shot and left bleeding on the ground as a stampede of people fled down the street, into businesses and behind cars to take cover while police struggled to pinpoint the source of the bullets.

“A heavy police presence was in the area when the rampage began because the annual Bayou Classic football game between Grambling State University and Southern University had been played hours earlier.“
Two HBC’s. Enough said.

Connect the dots:
Grambling State University - A "Historically Black University"
Southern University - A "Historically Black University"
Canal Street near Bourbon Street - A predominantly Black section of New Orleans.
No mention of any description whatsoever for the shooter(s).
When interviewed by the police, Nobody saw nuttin'.
..... A heavy police presence was in the area when the rampage began because the annual Bayou Classic football game between Grambling State University and Southern University.......Mayor LaToya Cantrell.....
Does this not just about summarize the problem here? Where is former mayor Nagels comment about his "chocolate city"? Is he out of jail yet?
Our city used to host a "Family Reunion" every year for a certain portion of society. It was the same thing year after year, despite the large police presence. At least half a dozen shootings and several dead. They quit hosting it several years back, and now nobody dies.
Why isn't there a "heavy police presence" when Utah plays BYU?
Judge a man not by the color of his skin but his actions ''Mayor LaToya Cantrell expressed support for the victims and urged the city not be judged based on the shooting'' A mayor who doesn't support his police department but does support BLM
I live in Orlando, you should’ve seen the police presence for the FAMU vs Bethune Cookman game last week. Never seen so many cops on horseback. I wonder why such a heavy police presence for this football game? Hmm...
He stressed the city has seen a decline in violent crime for four consecutive years. "This is the message we have been sending throughout the week," Ferguson said. "Please leave your gun at home." ............ Thats why their called criminals.... They do not go by the law....... So passing more is a waste of time, Till you start holding accountable the ones breaking the laws already on the books.
I’m willing to bet there were a couple dozen people filming and have the shooter(s) on video. Maybe a description would help.
What kind of people need their gun with them when they're going out or to a football game?
Beautiful City, bad people. After Katrina, some of the residents were placed in out town. They were a handful for the police department.
