Channing Tatum Talks Parenthood & Destroying His Name For Jimmy Kimmel Live Song

Channing Tatum stepped out in New York City on Tuesday night to promote "White House Down," but even at his big premiere, his new baby girl - Everly -- wasn't far from his mind.

Asked about fatherhood by Access Hollywood, Channing hinted he can't stand to be away from his newborn, with wife Jenna-Dewan Tatum, for very long.

"You never have enough time. You walk out of the room to go to the bathroom and that's time lost," he said.

Channing has been having fun promoting his new action film with Jamie Foxx recently and the pair truly seem to enjoy each other's company. Asked why they bonded, Channing said he and Jamie have plenty of things in common.

"We kind of attribute it to being Southern boys," he told Access. "We just wanna have fun in life. We're not curing cancer, we're doing what we do. We're trying to entertain people and make people have a good time."

And one of the ways the pair had fun lately was recording a song using Channing's name in the chorus, one which first sprung up when they visited Jimmy Kimmel's post-Oscars show.

Now, with a viral video for the tune, "(I Wanna) Channing All Over Your Tatum," continuing to garner hits on YouTube, Channing may be having second thoughts.

"It's weird that I've destroyed my own name, like I've just completely like wrecked it," he laughed.

"White House Down," hits theaters on June 28.
