Chandler Bing owes Julia Roberts a call today, according to 'Friends' canon

So no one told you your date with Julia Roberts was gonna go this way...

Before Chandler and Monica fell in TV love, he had an ill-fated love affair with Julia Roberts on Friends. It ended, as great romances do, with Chandler having no choice but to steal a bathroom door to cover his naked body with when exiting a fancy restaurant.

Roberts' character, Susie, suggested that Chandler ring her up to finished their unfinished business in 20 years. The day has come.

Reddit points out that the episode, "The One After the Super Bowl: Part 2," aired January 28, 1996 — exactly two decades ago.

In the episode, Chandler runs into a girl he knew in elementary school, Susie, who has grown up to be the beautiful Julia Roberts. They start dating and Susie. tries to coax Chandler to have sex with him in public and, shockingly, he eventually gives in.

But, as it turns out, Susie's plan all along was to get revenge for a childhood prank when Chandler pulled up her skirt during a class play. So ditches him and takes his clothes, leaving Chandler in a restaurant bathroom with only a pink thong to cover himself.

See, 20 years later, she's still mad, and so she invites Chandler to give his wounds a little time to see if they compare.
