Chance The Rapper and Frank Ocean Attended Obama's Final White House State Dinner

Chance The Rapper and Frank Ocean each brought a parent as a date.

Last night President Obama and the First Lady welcomed a list of stars to the White House for their final state dinner. Among the roster of big name attendees were Chance The Rapper and Frank Ocean. It can be stressful trying to decide who to bring as a plus-one to an event this meaningful, but both artists seemed to have the same idea on who the best choice would be—a parent.

Chance The Rapper's father Ken Bennett once worked alongside President Obama in Chicago, so it only seems right that Chance would bring his dad as his date. Similar to the Grammys, and other big events, Frank Ocean brought his favorite date—his mother, Katonya Breaux. Each of the attendees looked great, and excited to be invited to the special event.

Frank's mother tweeted her excitement over hugging the First Lady, while Chance can be heard in a short interview with ABC News explaining that he hoped to be able to continue his on-going dance battle with the President. During the same interview, Frank joked about his fashion statement by choosing to wear a classic pair of Vans with his suit.
