What hope do I have of securing tickets?

Not a lot, unfortunately. The capacity has been reduced to just over 66,000 for this final from the usual 74,500 seats in Crdiff. Only 18,000 tickets are available for each team. Unfortunately, you're too late for the 5,500 tickets which were allocated through a Uefa ticket draw. The remainder are held over for hospitality.

What happened last season?

You can read Sam Wallace's report here.

It was, all told, not a great final when it came to the quality of two sides, by turns tired or just out of inspiration. Ronaldo was a passenger for much of it and the only game-changing performance came from Simeone’s half-time substitute Yannick Carrasco who scored the equaliser, bamboozled Real’s defence at times and kissed his girlfriend when he scored.
