Champaign Police investigating after shots fired Monday

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign Police Department is investigating after shots were fired in western Champaign Monday afternoon.

Urbana Police, Crime Stoppers looking for armed robbery suspect

Officers responded to the scene near South Mattis and West Kirby Avenues just after 5:45 p.m. The suspect had run away from the scene, but some property damage was found. No one was hurt, police said.

Authorities continue to investigate and canvass the area for evidence. Anyone with information — including surveillance footage — is asked to call Champaign Police at 217-351-4545.
