Chain Reaction celebrates 20 years of supporting teen leaders with Playing for a Purpose

Play for a cause and make a difference in the lives of local teens with Chain Reaction as the non-profit organization celebrates 20 years of supporting teen leadership at its annual Playing For A Purpose fundraising event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14 at the Sanders Beach-Corinne Jones Resource Center, 913 S I St.

The celebration promises reflection and gratitude to those who contributed to Chain Reaction's journey as well as hearing from teenagers currently in the program and the impact it is having on them. There will be food, spirits, and fun interaction with teens members. Attendees will get to answer questions to see if they are cooler than a teen, hear about products they endorse as well as what your iPhone can actually do.

In 2003, fueled by frustration with broken teen development systems, Kristin Fairchild founded Chain Reaction, an organization dedicated to empowering teens through volunteer opportunities. Fast forward twenty years, and Chain Reaction evolved into a teen leadership Institute and state-of-the-art nonprofit, impacting thousands of teenagers over two decades.
