Jun. 29—Chad Billingsley, a former National League All-Star pitcher, has resigned as Conrad Weiser's baseball coach after three years, athletic director Billy Harrison said Tuesday.

The 36-year-old Billingsley could not be reached for comment.

He was hired in January 2018 and guided the Scouts to a 19-38-1 record, including 8-23 in Berks League play. Weiser has not had a winning record since 2013.

A first-round draft pick in 2003, he pitched eight seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers and one with the Philadelphia Phillies before an elbow injury forced him to retire in 2015. He posted an 83-64 record with a 3.72 ERA and had 1,052 strikeouts in his career.

Billingsley and his wife, Tiffany, have lived in the Weiser school district for more than a decade. He's been involved with coaching baseball at all age levels since he retired.

Harrison said candidates interested in the baseball job can contact the Weiser athletic office or apply at conradweiser.org.
