CPD: Gun fired during altercation between men at Eataly downtown
CHICAGO — A gun fired during a physical altercation between two men inside Eataly Friday morning.
The incident happened inside the restaurant, located at 43 East Ohio Street, around 9:20 a.m.
According to police, a male was involved in a verbal and physical altercation with two other men, when he took out a gun — which discharged during the struggle.
No one was struck.
The two men took the gun and fled the scene before police arrived.
Police said the man who fired the shot suffered minor injuries during the fight and was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition.
An investigation is underway. Eataly remains closed.
