Century Farms land continues to spur growth in Antioch
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Antioch is one of the fastest growing areas in Davidson County. Back in 2013, the purchase of Century Farms helped spur development.
Oldacre McDonald, LLC. Development Manager David Young was pivotal in that land purchase; he worked with William Turner’s family who had owned the land since 1857.
“From land where cattle were roaming to now…we have businesses like the Tanger Outlets,” Young said. “It’s amazing how much this area has transformed.”
During the Crossings Nashville Action Partnerships Group meeting Thursday, Jan. 25, they gave plaques to both William Turner’s family and Young. This also served as a way to recognize them for their work.
Young believes Century Farms still has five more years of development. Due to restrictions, he is unable to announce any of the new businesses that are coming to the area, but he stressed how construction is far from over.
“We had construction meetings yesterday, and I can say there are lots of projects that will break ground starting this spring,” Young said.
