Student's input

Student's quote: Wanting to become a Pediatric Nurse and interning at a vet are two different things. But as I got the opportunity to work around an amazing staff and amazing animals, the idea of becoming a veterinarian has crossed my mind. The staff at Shell Animal Clinic welcomed me with their arms opened the first day I got there. I've learned how to handle customers and how to care for the animals. I could not thank them enough for making my internship wonderful!

Supervisor's input

What do you think of the internship program? I think that the internship program is a wonderful opportunity to connect students with business leaders in the community and get some real-world experience observing and working with individuals directly connected to their interests.

Why were you willing to participate? I received my own start in veterinary medicine thanks to the kindness of my local veterinarian as a student. They allowed me to participate in a similar program and I feel privileged to do the same for young people interested in this field.
