Central class of 1979 to hold 45-year reunion in May

The San Angelo Central High School Class of 1979 will hold a 45-year reunion in May.

The group will meet at noon May 3 at Twisted Root, 333 S Chadbourne St., according to graduate Rodney Jackson.

Jackson said the official start of the reunion will be 6 p.m. May 3 at Miss Hattie's, 26 E. Concho Ave., for a meet and greet.

At 9 a.m. May 4, classmates, friends and families are welcome to join at Central High School to honor classmates who have passed away.

Reunion attendees may also join a “Trolley Tour” of historical downtown San Angelo at noon May 4.

The main event will be “Crusin on the Concho" at the San Angelo Country Club, 1609 Country Club Road with the Captain’s Reception at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. May 4.

The cost for May 4 is $50 per person if registered before April 15 and $65 per person after.

A few spots still remain for a May 3 morning golf outing at Quicksand for those interested.
