Louis Walsh has faced a backlash from Celebrity Big Brother viewers over comments about fellow housemate Fern Britton.
The former X Factor judge ruffled feathers during Tuesday's (March 12) live eviction show, during a segment where previous highlights were shown.
Louis and Sharon Osbourne were once again put in the position of judging housemates, this time in the game show You're Gonna Be A Star, pitting a boy band against a girl band.
As the female housemates were putting their routine together, Louis complained about the former This Morning presenter even being part of the task.

After suggesting Fern wouldn't be a star, he added: "I don’t think she’s right… for the girl group, and she’s older."
He then suggested: "We’re gonna put Fern in the back."
These comments were met with a swift backlash from viewers, especially since Louis was speaking behind Fern's back about her age.

"Louis is nasty. Leave Fern alone. These comments he’s making are horrible and ageist as hell," one viewer wrote on Twitter/X.
Another added: "Has Fern previously interviewed Louis, showed him up and he’s never forgotten it because anytime he can he has a pop at her."
"Go on Fern luv! Sing your little heart out and prove Louis wrong," a viewer wrote, with another adding: "Louis's ageist agenda against Fern tonight is really pissing me off. 😡 Every excuse with Fern is 'because she's older' Just because she's older doesn't mean she isn't as good as some of the other girls in the group."
Louis's entrance in the Celebrity Big Brother House proved to be controversial, and he seemed to court controversy even in his opening VT.
"I say things I shouldn't say. My mouth has got me in trouble, and it will get me into trouble again," he said.
His frequent sniping behind the backs of other housemates caught up with him this week when he faced the second live eviction, alongside Lauren Simon and Fern.
Celebrity Big Brother airs Sundays through Fridays at 9pm on ITV1 and the ITV Hub, followed by Late & Live on ITV2 immediately following each new episode.
