Celebrities Attending Anti-Trump Rally on Eve of Inauguration

On the eve of Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 45th president of the United States, Alec Baldwin, Mark Ruffalo, and Michael Moore plan to bring their star power to a rally in front of Trump International Hotel and Tower to protest the incoming president-elect.

“Mark Ruffalo, Alec Baldwin & myself will be holding a massive rally in NYC in front of Trump International Hotel this Thursday, 6 pm! Come!” Moore tweeted.

Ruffalo added in a statement, “We are sending a message to Washington that we will fight, at every step, discrimination and harmful policies, today, tomorrow and every day.”

Ruffalo, Baldwin and Moore have all been vocal opponents of Trump, with Baldwin tweeting: “If Trump believes that criticism of, opposition to, distaste for his election will eventually subside, he is mistaken. It’s just starting.”

Organized by Greenpeace and MoveOn.org, the rally will oppose Trump’s policies on health care, immigration, and workers’ rights, along with his administration’s stance on climate change.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio also weighed in on the protest, tweeting: “I’m rallying at Trump Int’l Hotel at 6PM on Jan. 19 because our next president needs to hear from all NYers before he takes office. Join us.”
