Celebrate Pi Day with a $3.14 pie!

AKRON, Ohio (WJW) — One of Northeast Ohio’s favorite pie places in gearing up for “Pi Day!”

No, that’s not a typo. We aren’t talking about “Pie Day.” That scrumptious celebration falls on Jan. 23. But, this other slightly made-up holiday is pretty yummy too!

On March 14, we are talking about “Pi Day” — the day math wizards tend to show off by listing the infinite numbers of π. Thankfully, for the rest of us, the day also involves the kind of pie you eat.

Local ‘luxury’ home up for auction

In Akron, The Gardner Pie Company is celebrating with $3.14 pies at their outlet store located at 191 Logan Parkway in Akron.

According to the company’s Facebook page, “The Outlet Store will be open 8:00-4:00 and we will have a great variety of pies available for $3.14!”

Watch for this tall bird — it could be ‘dancing’

The pies will be sold on first-come, first-served basis and they are not accepting call-ahead orders. According to the post, the deal is limited to “select flavors.”
