Celadon Group plans to create 500 jobs by 2022 for new driver-training school
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Trucking company Celadon Group Inc. says it will create about 500 jobs over the next 10 years at a new driver-training school.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered Celadon tax credits and training grants for the job-creation plan.
Celadon plans to add the 500 jobs by 2022, with 182 workers joining the company by 2016. There will be spots for drivers, trainers and administrative personnel.
Construction on the center is expected to be completed by fall. The facility will include dorm rooms, a cafeteria, a workout room, basketball and racquetball court and a driver-training road course.
Celadon plans to train up to 500 drivers this year.
