CCAA to host Community Action Poverty Simulation

Apr. 28—Cornerstone Community Action Agency will be hosting a Community Action Poverty Simulation May 13.

The event, at Weatherford College in the Workforce Building beginning at 9:30 am., is provided as a distinctive educational tool used by community action agencies to illuminate the challenges associated with financial scarcity and the profound stress levels endured by individuals living in poverty. Through immersive experiences, CAPS aims to provide a deeper understanding of the daily struggles faced by those experiencing economic hardships, thereby fostering empathy and informing strategies for community-wide support from policymakers, community leaders and all attendees.

Participants will engage in simulated real-life scenarios, gaining firsthand experience of the challenges and decisions faced by families living in poverty.

Tickets for the Community Action Poverty Simulation can be purchased through the CCAA website at www.cornerstonecaa.org and early registration is encouraged.
