CBS Washington Bureau Evacuated

A suspicious package has brought operations at CBS's Washington office to a standstill just before lunchtime on Tuesday. The building has been evacuated while police investigate the scene. The news broke over social media as CBS reporters started posting pictures of fellow staff members standing on the sidewalks with police tape cordoning off the area where the suspicious package that's causing all the fuss is located. An email fron the assistant to was circulated to Christopher Isham, the D.C. bureau chief for CBS News, went out to staff with the subject line: "EVACUATE THE BUILDING, USE THE BACK DOOR, STAY AWAY FROM THE FRONT DOOR."

So, despite being almost on their lunch break, CBS staffers are stranded outside while authorities figure out what's going on. CBS News Associate DJ Judd uploaded this Vine that shows Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer mingling with the rest of the crew.
