CBS Gets First Crack At Michelle Obama’s Final White House Sit-Down, With Oprah Winfrey
CBS will air Oprah Winfrey’s interview with First Lady Michelle Obama on Monday, December 19 at 8 PM ET/PT.
The one-hour special is being touted as Michelle Obama’s final one-on-one interview from inside the White House. Oprah Winfrey will telecast First Lady Michelle Obama Says Farewell To The White House: An Oprah Winfrey Special two days later, December 21, at 9 PM ET/PT.
CBS’s debut of the taped interview is scheduled for little more than a week ahead of its Kennedy Center Honors broadcast, at which FLOTUS and President Barack Obama, making their final appearance at that annual event, received a long standing ovation.
In the taped special, Michalle Obama will discuss life at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, her her eight years as First Lady of the United States, and her future plans. The interview is produced by OWN Studios; Tara Montgomery and Oprah Winfrey are executive producers.
