The Catholic Diocese of La Crosse installs its 11th Bishop, Gerard Battersby

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Today was the installation mass for the new bishop of the Catholic Diocese of La Crosse. Bishop Gerard Battersby becomes the 11^th bishop of the diocese. Replacing retiring Bishop William Callahan who served in his role since 2010. The Diocese of La Crosse spans 19 counties across West-Central Wisconsin, with 156 parishes serving a total population of 875,000. La Crosse first met Bishop Battersby in March. When it was announced he would be the area’s new bishop.

Spotify has announced it's hiking subscriptions for customers in the U.S., the second such price increase in the space of a year. The music-streaming giant reports that premium pricing will increase in July from $10.99 to $11.99, representing a rise of nearly 10%.
