Catholic Charities to distribute hams, dinner items Saturday

Dec. 11—In partnership with Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank, Bill and Sally Stewart are helping families by providing 300 hams to help complete their Christmas dinner.

"The holidays are times for family, but they can be a difficult time for those families that are living with food insecurity," Sally Stewart said in a news release.

Frozen hams, dairy, produce, canned goods and more will be distributed from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank.

To help with the flow of traffic for this drive-thru distribution, individuals are asked to form a line that extends to the north on 14th Street. There is a limit one ham per household.

If someone is picking up food on your behalf, you must complete a proxy form by Wednesday. Proxy forms and more information are available by calling 812-232-1447, Option 2.

John Etling, agency director at Catholic Charities, said the organization is "especially grateful to Sally and Bill Stewart for providing this gift and creating hope for our neighbors during this holiest of seasons."
