Cate Blanchett informs Stephen Colbert that her moral compass is in her vagina

Ah, Cate Blanchett. She's the jewel in Australia's cultural crown, and not just because she's a brilliant actress.

As you probably know by now, the star of upcoming film Oceans 8 is also incredibly funny. She's known for clowning around on set, hit the stage for some drag queen-style lip syncing and swearing like a sailor. In short, she's your spirit animal.

Blanchett proved once again that she deftly walks the line between profound and absurd when she visited The Late Show over the weekend.

Describing the Chekov play she's currently in on Broadway, she said "It's all about as you move forward in life, what's your moral compass. Where does kindness and humanity sit in a really brutal world." Deep.

When host Stephen Colbert asked her where does her moral compass lie, and where does kindness sit in a brutal world, she simply put on a silly voice and responded: "It's in my vagina."

Cate Blanchett forever.
