Casual Male changes corporate name to Destination XL Group to better reflect its new focus
CANTON, Mass. (AP) -- Casual Male Retail Group Inc. said Friday that it will formally change its corporate name to Destination XL Group Inc. to reflect its shift in focus toward its more profitable Destination XL retail stores and DestinationXL.com website.
The Canton, Mass.-based men's clothing and accessories company said the name change will take effect on Monday. The move comes after Casual Male changed its stock ticker symbol to "DXLG" in December.
Casual Male said the new name better reflects the company's identity as it expands the Destination XL concept and rebrands itself. The company currently operates 49 Destination XL stores, along with the website.
Casual Male shares were unchanged at $4.76 in morning trading.
