Casey's counts up Tennessee forward Jonas Aidoo's slam dunks to help feed the hungry

March Madness is upon us and the Vols, as the No. 2 seed in the Midwest Region, are set for their first match-up Thursday.

But UT forward Jonas Aidoo already won big this week, after his slam dunk performance this month helped propel a million-meal donation by Casey's General Stores to Feeding America.

Since the start of their partnership in 2020, Casey’s and Feeding America have donated over 30 million meals, a press release from Casey's stated. This year, Casey’s plans to help provide 10 million meals, which will support 56 food banks across the 17 states Casey’s calls home.

In March, Casey’s committed to donating 50,000 meals for every slam dunk by Jonas Aidoo, as well as 50,000 meals for every three-pointer by Gabbie Marshall (Iowa) and every steal by Devo Davis (Arkansas), up to 1 million meals.

The company reached its goal in just 14 days: Jonas made five slam dunks, Gabbie shot eight three-pointers, and Devo had five steals.

Even though that campaign reached its goal, Casey's customers can still support the donation drive through April 2, the company said. Guests can round up at the register or add a donation when ordering online. Every dollar helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks.
