Cars Submerged as Aude River Floods in Southern France

Residents in the Aude department of France were warned not to leave their homes or drive after multiple people died in flash flooding in the region on October 15.

Red and orange alerts were in place on October 15. Edouard Philippe, France’s Minister of the Interior, said seven helicopters were mobilized to the affected areas to assist in rescue operations.
