Cars rain from sky during army airdrop with faulty parachutes
Soldiers at the U.S. army garrison in Hohehfelz, Germany, saw some rough weather this month. As opposed to car-sized hail, they saw actual cars plummeting from planes during a faulty supply drop.
The incident occurred earlier this month when the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team flew by to deliver Humvee vehicles on parachutes, according to Army Times. Things went south as some of the Humvees slipped out of their chutes.

The video was posted the other day by the U.S Army W.T.F! moments Facebook page. There are three crashes, marked by excited shouts from bystanders and very visible crash landings. Nobody was injured, but car enthusiasts may find this hard to watch:
The three crashes occur at 0:20 (listen for an “oh yes!” with a quieter “oh no!” behind it), at 0:58 (listen for a drawn out “yeah!") and at 1:30 (listen for a calmer “there’s another one”).
Twitter account WTF Nation claims to have photos of the utterly destroyed trucks. There are a few dents, a busted window or two, and the back bumper may be lodged inside a tire, but who knows? It could be salvageable.
An investigation is currently underway as to what went wrong with the parachutes, as well as the wise guys who took the video. The drop was part of a military exercise called Saber Junction 16, which is testing land operations with parter nations.
In case you're unfamiliar, Humvees are a commonly used military truck which inspired the civilian Hummer. If you were ever curious why Hummers don't have wings, it's because as you can see, they don't fly too gracefully.
