Carrie Underwood makes a triumphant return, but not everyone is happy about it

Carrie Underwood hit the stage at the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards for an amazing performance of "Cry Pretty." It's Underwood's first public appearance since her accident in November, when she fell down the stairs in her home. The singer suffered a broken wrist and damage to her face that allegedly required 40-50 stitches. Underwood has been laying low since the accident, so it was a welcome surprise when she posted a selfie the day before the ACMs. Although a lot of people were a bit disappointed by the lack of scarring on her face, with one person tweeting, "Oh yes #CarrieUnderwood you're SO hideous now #overdramatic much?" Whatever damage was or was not caused by the accident, one thing is for sure, it didn't affect her vocal cords. And many people were just glad to hear her sing again, with one fan tweeting, "That was amazing, stunning, phenomenal, just wow!" Before Carrie could even read any of the love or hate on Twitter, she had to go back out on stage to accept an award with Keith Urban for Vocal Event of the Year. And it was clear she was still overwhelmed by the moment. "Thank you for having me, I'm still kind of, like, shaky right now," Underwood said, holding back tears. "Thank you guys, thank you country radio, fans, oh my gosh, thank you."
