"The Real Housewives of New Jersey's" Caroline Manzo is speaking out on co-star Teresa Giudice's numerous indictments, which include conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud.
The Bravo reality star appeared on Sunday's "Watch What Happens Live," where host Andy Cohen asked Caroline if she had reached out to her co-star following the 39-count indictment.
"I texted her the day of the indictment, I did," Caroline said. "I sent a message that I'll keep to myself, and she did respond back, which I'm going to keep to myself as well."
Teresa, 41, and husband Joe Giudice, 43, were released on $500,000 bond after appearing in court on July 30.
"I can't even wrap my head around it," Caroline continued. "It's unexpected. This is a big deal. I think for us, the 'Housewives,' we always comment on trivial things, and I think for me, the Manzos, our position is going to stay quiet. It's just too big and too serious for the peanut gallery. I'm just going to leave it at that."
Most of Teresa's fellow "Housewives" have stayed quiet about her legal woes , expect for Kim Granatell, the "Housewife" adjacent personality known as "Kim G," who has appeared numerous times on the Bravo series over the years.
Kim G Tweeted, "Sympathy for @Teresa_Giudice 's children if 1 or 2 counts but 39 = NO EXCUSE!! They should have thought about their kids," a comment that did not sit well with Caroline.
"I don't even know what to say about that, because again, this is nothing to joke about," she said of the Tweet. "You got these four little children, and their parents and everything. There comes a time when you just to have to grow up and put that aside."
