Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile Jr. Foundation announces Bernie McKay as next president, CEO

The new president of the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation has been announced.

The current President & CEO, Tim Maloney, will retire from the foundation on March 31. Bernie McKay will be his successor.

McKay, a partner at Frost Brown Todd LLC, previously served as the practice group leader of the firm's Privately Held Business & Wealth Planning Practice.

He is certified as a specialist in trust and estate law by the Ohio State Bar Association. The foundation said McKay's expertise will be invaluable in the oversight of the more than $300 million Haile Foundation assets.

"Bernie brings compassion, a deep understanding, and love for our community. We are incredibly excited to welcome him as the new leader of the Haile Foundation," said Haile Foundation advisory board member Vickie Gluckman in a statement.

McKay has helped with many local organizations, including the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Opera, Cincinnati Bar Foundation, and the Women's Crisis Center.

He is an alumnus of both Leadership Cincinnati and Leadership Northern Kentucky. McKay was also a member of Forty Under Forty and the 2016 Southwest Ohio "Lawyer of the Year" for Trust and Estate Law by the Best Lawyers in America.

The foundation described Mckay as an intelligent, empathetic and talented leader.

McKay said he is excited to take on the new role.

"I am beyond thrilled to have this opportunity. I'm honored and humbled to lead this generous and innovative organization and look forward to serving our community in this role," McKay said.
