Oklahoma City Thunder forward Carmelo Anthony may have finally gotten away from the New York Knicks, but he’s still haunted by his time with the team.

During an interview Tuesday, Anthony was asked about trying to meet expectations after the Thunder’s sluggish start, and responded by taking a shot at his old club.

Ouch! After being asked about whether he’s dealt with teams failing to live up to their potential, Anthony immediately responds “You watch the last couple seasons?” He then laughs before seriously answering the reporter’s question.

While Anthony helped lead the Knicks to a couple playoff appearances early on, the team failed to reach the postseason in his final four seasons with the club. They topped out at 37 wins during that stretch, even suffering through an abysmal 17-win season. Anthony made the All-Star team every year while playing in New York. He was traded to the Thunder in September.

It’s probably a good thing that Anthony can laugh at his time spent with the Knicks now. You’d expect most players to cry after going through that.

It’s also probably a good thing he quickly moved past that and focused on answering the question. With the Thunder sitting at 8-11, Anthony shouldn’t be making fun of any other franchise right now.
