1 flown to hospital after truck crashes into construction vehicle in Huber Heights

One person was flown to the hospital after a crash in Huber Heights Monday morning.

Police and medics responded to the crash in the area of State Route 4 and New Carlisle Pike. The crash was reported shortly before 10 a.m.

According to a social media post from the Huber Heights Fire Division, crews arrived on scene to find a truck crashed into the back of a large excavating vehicle with the driver pinned between the steering wheel and the seat.

The fire division said it was “challenging” to get the trapped driver out of the truck.

All lanes were temporarily closed on SR-4 South beyond I-70 West/SR-4 South, according to ODOT cameras.

CareFlight took the driver to the hospital. Details on their condition were not released.
