Cardi B Has No Patience for Tomi Lahren
In the third week of the government shutdown, Cardi B had to get something off her chest. And to do that, she took to Instagram: "Our country is a hellhole right now," she said, "all for a fucking wall. And we really need to take this serious."
Cardi was particularly incensed that so many people were having to go without paychecks, adding, "Now, I don’t want to hear y’all motherfuckers talking about, 'Oh, but Obama shut down the government for 17 days.' Yeah, bitch, for health care! So your grandma could check her blood pressure and you bitches could go check your pussy in the gynecologist with no motherfucking problem.”
Never one to let a chance for attention go ungrabbed, conservative talking head Tomi Lahren tried to spin Cardi B's rant as a boon to the right, tweeting, "Looks like @iamcardib is the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats. HA! Keep it up, guys! #MAGA2020." Lahren ironically calling someone else a political genius is the height of obliviousness, but Cardi generously gave tried to give her an out:
"Leave me alone I will dog walk you."
But Lahren isn't someone who shies away from terrible ideas, and she responded again. So Cardi B called a spade a spade.
"You’re so blinded with racism that you don’t even realize the decisions the president you root for is destroying the country you claim to love so much. You are a perfect example on no matter how educated or smart you think you are you still a SHEEP!"
Cardi B's accurately pinpointed that Trump's wall and his entire immigration policy is based on racism and not national security. Of course, Lahren's business model depends on her inserting herself into conversations and then being the loudest voice, so this kind of attention is her bread and butter. And she's not likely to stop wading into fights she's completely unprepared for any time soon.
