STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) — Police in the Northern California city of Stockton have located a vehicle that was involved in a bank robbery and running gun battle that ended with the death of a hostage.

Investigators released on Friday surveillance video of a dark-colored sedan that was used to drop off three armed men at the bank two days earlier.

Officer Joe Silva, a police spokesman, said shortly after the video came out a tip led officers to the abandoned car.

Police are looking for the driver of the sedan.

Two of the three robbers were killed; the surviving suspect used the hostage as a human shield during a furious gunfight with police.
