Car crash in DC leaves 1 person dead, 1 critically hurt

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A car crash in Southeast D.C. killed one person and left another person with critical injuries Thursday night.

The two-vehicle crash happened around 10:15 p.m. at 25th St. and Alabama Ave.

DC Fire and EMS said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that one car T-boned the other. A spokesperson for the fire department confirmed one of the patients was a woman.

The Metropolitan Police Department said it was being investigated and the Major Crash Unit was requested.
