Road reopened after car accident in Summers County

UPDATE: Tuesday, April 16, 2024 @ 5:48 p.m. | SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — According to the Summers County WV 911 Center’s Facebook page, State Routes 3 and 12 are reopened.


SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — A single-car accident closed a road in Summers County on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

According to Summers County Dispatch, State Routes 3 and 12 are shut down between Lowell and Pence Springs due to a single-car accident.

One person injured in car accident in Mercer County

Summers County Dispatch stated that responding agencies included Talcott Volunteer Fire Department Station 51, Forest Hill Volunteer Fire Department Station 14, Summers County Volunteer Fire Department Station 13, Hinton Fire Department Station 21, the West Virginia State Police, the Summers County Sheriff’s Office, and EMS.

The extent of any injuries is unknown at this time.

Due to State Routes 3 and 12 between Lowell and Pence Springs being closed, traffic is being detoured around Lowell Road.
