Captain Gary Worries About Pushing Son Kenny too Far in Deadliest Catch: Dungeon Cove Exclusive Preview

How far is too far?

In an exclusive sneak peek at Tuesday's episode of Deadliest Catch: Dungeon Cove, Captain Gary Ripka worries that the pressure he's putting on his son, Captain Kenny, could be deadly.

While on the water just 40 miles north of Newport, Rhode Island, Gary explains that Kenny is aboard "a lot smaller boat," and thus was being cautious as the group hit intense waves and rough weather.

"I want to push him but I don't want to push him too far," Gary says in an interview. "I don't want him to make a mistake that he gets somebody killed."

He continues, "If that happened, I would be devastated. I'd blame it on myself for pushing him too hard."

Meanwhile, waves are crashing over the side of Gary's boat when the United States Coast Guard comes over the radio with a report.

The Coast Guard reveals that three men are in the water after their vessel sank, and urges all nearby vessels to look for the overboard.

Deadliest Catch: Dungeon Cove airs Tuesdays (9 p.m. ET) on Discovery.
