Candidates Cast Their Ballots
Candidates seeking presidency and vice presidency cast their ballots on Tuesday morning, as Election Day kicked off across the country.
Mitt and Ann Romney voted in Belmont, Mass., before 9 a.m. this morning. After he voted, Romney told reporters he was feeling “very good” about the day ahead, when he is expected to campaign in both Pennsylvania and Ohio before returning to Boston. He later said he felt “great” about his chances in the Buckeye State.
Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, voted in Greenville, Del., earlier in the morning. In a nod to 2016, when a reporter asked if this was the last election in which he planned to vote for himself, Biden replied with a smile, “No, I don't think so.”
Biden also said he was “feeling pretty good” about the Democratic ticket’s chances on Tuesday.
Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan is expected to vote in his hometown of Janesville, Wis., later this morning.
The Obamas already voted early, the first lady by mail and the president in his hometown of Chicago.
