The Cancer Foundation in Athens recently completed its annual “Blooms and Blessings,” a project where flowers are delivered to cancer patients.

A team of 13 volunteers crafted more than 150 bouquets in support of healing and a holistic approach to patient care, according to a statement from the foundation.

Blossoms Wholesale donated more than1,000 flowers to the effort.

The bouquets were delivered to patients at University Cancer and Blood Center, Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, Georgia Cancer Specialists, and Morgan Memorial Hospital.

“This initiative aims to offer a tangible expression of support and encouragement, reminding those in treatment that they are not alone in their journey,” according to a statement from the foundation.
