Can Stassi Schroeder and Ariana Madix be friends? Lala Kent holds out hope

Vanderpump Rules is nothing if not sexy, scandalous, and turbulent — and that’s putting it mildly, considering that fans are fairly fatigued from Jax Taylor’s recurring storyline of cheating and lying, rinsing and repeating.

More than romantic relationship drama, fans are privy to the ebbs and flows of friendships between Lisa Vanderpump’s SURvers over the last six years. Stassi Schroeder has weathered the storm with the Witches of WeHo while Jax Taylor and Tom Sandoval have swapped punches over Kristen Doute. Somehow, this crew always comes back together no matter what cutting words have been voiced or whose pants they’ve been in.

The one friendship that doesn’t seem to be improving is that of Ariana Madix and Stassi Schroeder. Despite their glaring similarities, the two blond bombshells never find themselves on the same page.

Lala Kent revealed to The Morning Breath’s Jackie and Claudia Oshry why these two can’t seem to get along. They even share a birthday, as seen on last week’s episode of Bravo’s provocative crown jewel.

“Sometimes people just don’t connect, and that’s OK,” explains Kent.

Co-host Claudia argues that Madix and Schroeder could potentially be the best complements of each other, saying, “It’s frustrating because I feel like if they did connect, it would be magic. They would be great. They’re funny, they’re smart, and they’re very similar. But maybe that’s why they don’t get along is because they’re so similar.”

The 27-year-old Bravo star agrees. “I think it would be great because maybe they could teach each other a thing or two. Like Stassi, shut the eff up, or Ariana, let’s lighten up a little bit,” laughs Kent.

While the two have briefly come together for the sake of mutual gatherings and shared social circles, a hiccup is always coming. Madix has called Schroeder ignorant and even pointed out racist tendencies after one of Schroeder’s podcast episodes was faced with a backlash last year.

Aspiring actress Kent admits, “I love both of them, but I just want us all to get along, because I think everyone’s great and fun, and when we have a few cocktails…”

Any devoted fan of the show can finish that open-ended sentiment.
