Camilla Belle's clever hostess gift idea is perfect for any holiday party

With a classic look and an eye for sophisticated ensembles, it is no wonder that Camilla Belle has a similar approach to the holidays -- thoughtful yet simple.
We sat down with Camilla Belle at Cointreau's celebration of the cosmopolitan and chatted with her about all things holiday, starting with the festive and iconic holiday drink-- the cosmo. Camilla told us that celebrating such a classic drink "is really fun." Plus, "being in New York and celebrating a drink that was created here" makes it even more special.
She even recalled her first memory of discovering the cosmo in her hometown. "My girlfriends and I watched 'Sex and the City' back in L.A. like 'oh, okay that's what we should be drinking.'"
When it comes to her go-to holiday party outfit, Camilla explained that you can't go wrong with "just a simple cocktail dress and [then] add a little pizzazz with shoes or jewelry or a pop of lip." And as far as entertaining goes, her #1 tip for all hosts and hostesses is to a must total: "plan ahead. Organization is key."
Our favorite holiday tip from the starlet? Definitely her creative hostess gift idea -- a cookbook! "It depends on who I’m seeing, I think obviously flowers are really lovely, but... I also love cookbooks, so that's something I’m a big fan of as well, and I have a ton at home. That's usually a nice gift and anyone would appreciate a really nice cookbook," the actress explained.
Make Camilla Belle’s Sparking Holiday Cosmopolitan at home!
3/4 oz Cointreau
1 ½ oz Vodka
1/2 oz Fresh lime juice
1/2 oz Cranberry syrup
1 ½ oz Champagne
Combine all ingredients in a shaker
Shake vigorously with ice and strain into a champagne flute
Top with champagne
Garnish with frozen cranberries
