Siblings in a contemporary Christian group on the rise will be part of the lineup for a popular concert headed to Oklahoma City.

CAIN, featuring brother and sisters trio Madison Cain Johnson, Logan Cain and Taylor Cain Matz, will be among the recording artists performing at Winter Jam 2024 set for 6 p.m. March 16 at the Paycom Center.

The concert tour, presented by World Vision, was founded by the contemporary Christian band Newsong. In addition to CAIN and Newsong, other artists set to perform Crowder, Lecrae, Katy Nichole, Joseph O'Brien and Seventh Day Slumber. Speaker Zane Black is also part of the 39-city tour.

The siblings of CAIN were PKs — preacher's kids — raised in Alabama. The group members now reside in Nashville.

Madison Cain Johnson recently discussed CAIN's addition to the Winter Jam lineup ― the trio's first time joining the concert tour. In the following Q&A (edited for brevity), Johnson also talked about some of CAIN's music and what it's like touring with her siblings and their families.

Q: What can fans expect from CAIN's Winter Jam set?

A: Oh, it's wild! I'm so pumped about our set. We only have a limited amount of time, so we wanted to make sure that everyone got to hear their favorite song. So, we are doing seven songs in 20 minutes and we've been wearing all matching tie-dye outfits. We've been shooting off confetti, we have a dance. I think that was our goal was we want to worship but we wanted to just have a lot of fun and make it really interactive and just like a celebration.

Q: What has it been like being part of Winter Jam?

A: This is great because it's something that me and my brother and sister went to as kids and teens. And, so it's a little bit of a full circle moment to be up there part of it after kind of being raised by it.

Q: Your single "Jesus Music" premiered not too long ago and I know that's the name of your album, as well. "Jesus Music" the single has really resonated with fans. What do you think makes this song so popular?

A: This was very fun for us. Hidden in the verses are the titles of all of our favorite songs growing up. So, the verses like do you need a "God of Wonders?" "Amazing Grace?" Are you looking for somebody who's "Mighty to Save?" If you look through, you can find about 13 different titles to popular Christian songs. Our whole goal was just to celebrate all the artists that have gone before us and all the work that they put in to kind of pave the way for Christian music. It's a song that I love but I also love giving a nod to Mac Powell, Chris Tomlin, Mercy Me — all these bands that have worked so hard.

Q: Over the years, you have had multiple hits, including "Rise Up" and "Yes He Can." What's it like to know that these songs have really resonated with CAIN's fans?

A: It is so life-giving to look out into the crowd and people are singing with their eyes closed, so you know that they have a connection to the song more than even to you. Like they're a fan of you, but there is really something in the song that has really spoken to them. So, not to be false humble or anything, but it just is like 'Thank you, Lord,' because you really have to depend on God for songwriting. You feel every time like you're gambling whenever you put a song out because you have no idea if people are going to it or not, or if anyone's going it, so, it's just a huge sense of relief and joy watching people love the songs.

Q: What has it been like working with your your siblings?

A: I think that because we're siblings, we can be harder on each other than you would be if it was just another member of your band. But, because of that, I feel like we love each other more and we're even more committed to each other — we love each other. I have laughed so hard with them. And our kids are out on the road with us. So, my son's 18 months, Taylor's daughter is 18 months and then Logan has a 3 month old and an almost 2 year old. We've got little toddlers running around in our bus, so it just makes it sweet.

Q: What's next for CAIN? Is there anything that you can share about future projects?

A: It's not announced yet, but I can talk about it. There's going to be some more songs added to the album "Jesus Music." I believe it's going to come out sometime in April or May, so we've got brand new songs. And then also for Easter, we're releasing a new extended version of "The Commission" because as we've been playing it, we've been finding there's a new verse that we wanted to add. So, we're going to call it "The Commission: Easter version."
