Cactus Flower takes crown in Pueblo’s Slopper Competition

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The showdown for the supreme slopper of Southern Colorado has been settled. First-place winner, Cactus Flower, slayed with their slopper, Gray’s Coors Tavern slotted in at number two, and B Street Cafe slid in for third.

People cast their votes for their favorite local Pueblo Slopper through the Visit Pueblo website and social media platforms, and from the thousands of votes, a list of the top 10 Slopper Stops was compiled.

Winners will be featured in the 2024 Slopper Tour Map, which will be available through the
official Pueblo Visitor Guide, Visit Pueblo Website, and all affiliated Pueblo Chamber social
media platforms.

For those wishing to take part in the self-guided tour, the top ten slopper stops, as chosen by the people of Pueblo, are:

1. Cactus Flower

4. Rock Ya Belly Food Truck

5. Gold Dust Saloon

6. Riverside Bar & Grill

7. 3 Sisters Tavern

8. Beer Barrel

9. Cafe Murillo

10. Sunset Inn

FOX21’s Taylor Bishop was in Pueblo where she helped hand out the awards to the 2024 Slopper Tour winners and had the chance to taste the best sloppers in the city.

Each of the top ten winners received a window decal that designates their restaurant as a top ten Slopper Stop destination. Additionally, Cactus Flower gets to keep the impressive gold traveling chile trophy until the new winner is announced for next year’s competition.

March 4th kicks off Slopper Week, in which anyone who purchases a slopper until March 8th can drop their itemized receipt off at the Pueblo Chamber for a chance to win a $250 cash prize.
