Cabo Fish Taco closes downtown Roanoke location due to staffing, several issues

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — One taco staple in the heart of the Star City has announced that it has officially closed its doors.

On May 1, the owners of Cabo Fish Taco, Gary, Rob, and Maeghan, shared on Facebook that the downtown Roanoke location is closed for good due to staff and several critical issues.

Owners shared that Downtown Roanoke has not been able to completely recover from the COVID-19 Pandemic.

“Unfortunately, Downtown Roanoke has not been completely able to recover after the Pandemic, forcing a lot of local businesses to make heartbreaking decisions. This, paired with staffing issues and several other critical problems facing Downtown, has sadly forced us to close the doors to our Roanoke location,” said the owners.

Leonore Restaurant closes its doors in the Star City, moves to Salem

Cabo Fish Taco has been in Roanoke for more than three years. From its Sriracha Lime Aiolo to its garlic buffalo shrimp tacos, the restaurant is known for its array of flavors.

We did not make this decision lightly and have been looking for alternative locations in Roanoke and Salem. Until then, please continue to visit us at our neighboring Blacksburg location and keep an eye out for the Cabo Food Truck,”

said the owners on social media.
