The Ukrainian government is allocating an additional UAH 15.5 billion ($392 million) to purchase UAVs for the military, Ukrainian PM Denys Shmyhal announced on April 30.

Shmyhal said that the funds would be transferred to the State Special Communications Service, which will handle the procurement.

According to him, the additional funding will pay for 300,000 new UAVs for the Defense Forces.

These expenses are on top of UAH 43.3 billion ($1.1 billion) Ukraine has already spent on drones in 2024.
