‘Buzz’ the foster puppy stolen from Lake County backyard

LAKE COUNTY, Ill. — A foster puppy was stolen from a backyard in Lake County, Illinois late Wednesday night.

“Buzz” a black lab and shepherd mix, was stolen from a home near Highland Avenue and Woodland Avenue in unincorporated Antioch.

It took place in the subdivision behind Bootlegger’s Bar and Grill. He was last seen being put into a grey Jeep Wrangler Sahara.

Heartland Animal Shelter is pleading with the public for information on the puppy.

They told WGN News a few years ago, two dogs were stolen from the shelter and public outcry led to their return a week later.

They’re hoping the same thing happens with “Buzz,” who is nearly four months old.

Anyone with information can email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org or by calling the shelter at 847-296-6400.
