Busch Gardens’ Loch Ness Monster reopening in May after renovations

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — The iconic Loch Ness Monster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg is set to reopen this May after a major renovation.

The 46-year-old ride closed to the public back on Halloween for the project, which included the replacement 900 feet of steel track.

“Now in 2024, the Loch Ness Monster will resurface as a fully restored experience loaded with all-new thrilling elements, dramatic storytelling and innovative effects, as it takes riders on its journey through the Scottish terrain via “Nessie’s” newly refurbished signature steel track,” Busch Gardens says.

The park says members will have the exclusive chance to ride the new version of Nessie, and anyone can check out the new “Sighting Center.” The temporary walk-through in the Scotland area will have archived photos of the ride and more.
