Burger King and Wendy’s have a Twitter smackdown
A Twitter beef between fast food giants Burger King and Wendy’s may have blown the Internet’s collective mind.
Mashable reports that the Twitter war of words began when Wendy’s tweeted about their “4 for $4 meal,” featuring three items and a drink for $4.

The next day, Burger King advertised a “5 for $4” meal, “because 5 is better than 4.”

Twitter user Brittany Guernsey noticed the very pointed Burger King ad and drew Wendy’s attention to it. Whoever is handling Wendy’s Twitter feed decided enough was enough, and fired back in less than a half hour:

Those two little words were enough to set off an explosion of Tweets applauding Wendy’s sass and disparaging the quality of Burger King’s food.
It seems there are an unlimited number of snappy gifs that perfectly capture how the internet feels about this fast food showdown.

Hopefully ‘the King’ has learned something from this encounter: if you call out Wendy’s, be prepared to get burned. Or better yet, flame broiled.
