Burdett man sentenced to 2 years for selling meth in Schuyler County

BURDETT, N.Y. (WETM) – A Burdett man has been sentenced to serve time in state prison after he pleaded guilty to selling meth in Schuyler County back in February.

According to the Schuyler County District Attorney’s Office, Steven C. Mayo, 45, of Burdett, was sentenced on March 28 by Hon. Matthew C. Hayden to two years in state prison plus one year post-release supervision on the charge of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a class D felony.

He was also ordered to pay $550 in restitution and forfeited $3,855.

Mayo was arrested following an investigation conducted by the New York State Police into the selling of meth within Schuyler County.
